My Story

As a kid, I was the neighbourhood tree-climbing enthusiast, finding endless delight in the branches that served as my childhood playground. Little did I know that these early adventures would sow the seeds for a lifelong connection with nature.

Fast forward to my high school days, where a seemingly whimsical campaign for school president sparked the first chapter of my arborist tale. "Vote for Chet" and "Save the Trees" echoed through the hallways, embodying a commitment that went beyond the laughter it initially provoked. The seeds of environmental advocacy were planted.  

The unexpected twist? I won the vote for school president despite not officially being on the ballot. This amusing turn of events added an unexpected but memorable chapter to my journey.

College brought a transformative chapter. At Sault College, I delved into the world of Renewable Energy and Green Construction Techniques, channeling my passion into a formal education. The trees that once witnessed my playful climbs took on a new role as symbols of sustainability and green living.

Humber College was the next stop on my journey, where I pursued Urban Arboriculture. The boy who once climbed trees for fun now studied their biology and care with a purpose. The joy of climbing was now entwined with a mission – to be a steward of urban nature. I was awarded the title of valedictorian at Humber College which underscored my dedication to this newfound mission.

Today, as a certified arborist, I wear my passion on my sleeves and my gear. Each day is a new opportunity to preserve and nurture the trees that grace our urban landscapes. The laughter of my childhood adventures has evolved into a deep-rooted commitment to the environment.
